Celebrating David Chiu’s appointment to City Attorney

Nov. 1st, 2021 David Chiu was sworn in as the City Attorney of San Francisco in a ceremony at San Francisco City Hall. He becomes the first Asian American to lead the City Attorney’s Office after being appointed by Mayor London Breed.

Hundred of San Franciscans gathered in San Francisco Far East Cafe on Friday, Nov, 12th, celebrating David Chiu’s appointment to City Attorney and honoring his many years of service to San Francisco. Mayor London Breed, State Senator Scott Wiener, California Attorney General Bob Bonta, Treasurer Fiona Ma, and Controller Betty Yee spoke highly of David.

City Attorney David Chiu said “I am excited and inspired to lead such a reputable office with an impressive group of legal minds. Together, we will use the power of the law to stand up for San Franciscans and confront our city’s greatest challenges.”
