Asian American Stories Award Ceremony 2024
Join us for the Asian-American Stories Award Ceremony and dinner gala at Milpitas H.L. Peninsula Restaurant (136 Ranch Dr, Milpitas, CA 95035) on Thursday, May 2, 2024. The event marks the beginning of Asian Heritage Month and celebrates Asian American Stories while recognizing AAPI Storytellers.
Silicon Valley Community Media and Ding Ding TV have collaborated with over 30 AAPI organizations to present the Asian American Stories Video Contest. The contest’s goal is to bring diverse communities together and tell Asian American Stories. The theme for 2024 is “All of Us Belong Here.” Given the current climate of anti-Asian sentiment, it is more important than ever to highlight the contributions Asian Americans have made to our country.
During the award ceremony, we will honor individuals who have made significant contributions to Asian American literature, film, art, and culture. It will be an evening filled with joy, appreciation, and recognition for the talented storytellers who have shared their unique experiences and perspectives with the world. The event will feature award-winning videos and creators, performances of Asian American children’s culture and heritage, Chinese seafood delicacies, and some Asian celebrities.
