For the latest edition of Innovation Dialog Diana Weiping Ding interviewed Harbir K Bhatia (CEO, Silicon Valley Central Chamber of Commerce) and Elnaz Masoom (Chairwoman of board, Silicon Valley Central Chamber of Commerce). Elnaz Masoom made history – she is the first woman to hold the position of the Chairwoman of the board in the history of Silicon Valley Central Chamber of Commerce. Likewise, Harbir K Bhatia is the first woman CEO in the last 30 years.

About Harbir K Bhatia

Harbir has served in the community for decades, including being a board member some years ago. Now she comes back as the Captain of the organization. She believes in creating a thriving Silicon Valley for all. Her background has predominantly been in technology management, and that has included marketing, entrepreneurship, media and event production, and over 30 years of community organizing. Her diverse background provides a holistic perspective to our strategy and plan ahead for success.

Recently she returned from one of her trips to Ukraine. Since the war began she has been traveling there to provide aid and running awareness campaigns to provide boots on the ground realities. Having met Parliamentarians, ministries, non-profits, businesses, and the people understand the real needs and identify sustainable and collaborative paths forward. Harbir received the medal of honor from Kharkiv City ” Hero of Kharkiv”.
