Craig Martin is President of The Family Wealth Consulting Group in the Silicon Valley offering fee-only financial planning with fiduciary responsibility for accredited families. He is also the managerof the FWCG Opportunity Fund, LPas well as the FWCG Diversified Alternative Income Fund, LP. He has 30 years of experience co-investing with clients in alternatives.Craig is fund manager of two funds focusing on alternative investments which he defines as anything but stocks or bonds. As Manager of the Opportunity Fund, Mr. Martin has a track record of finding real estate managers who haveseveral decades of producing equity growth that has been twicethe performance of their risk-adjusted benchmark.
Craig also co-invests with his clients as angels in start-up businesses. As Manager of FWCG Diversified Alternative Income Fund, LP (DAIF), his clients have available a diversified portfolio ofalmosttwodozen alternative income funds thatpaid clients 7.8% in 2018. Mr. Martin’s many decades of experience performing due diligence while being a co-investor with his clients on many kinds of alternativesis what causes him to focus his current due diligence in what he recognizes as an inefficient market where he has successfully found many managers earning above average returns over decades. As a 14 year member of Keiretsu Forum,the largest angel group in the world, he looks at dozens of deals a quarter and has 27 investments in the Fund. He has earned the Master of Science in Financial Services degree, which is a master degree in coordinating estate and income tax planning with investments and cash flow, plus the CFP mark.
