“Love in Taipei” premieres on August 10th on Paramount+

Based on the New York Times’ Best-Selling Novel “Loveboat, Taipei” written by Abigail Hing Wen, “Love in Taipei” will premiere on 10th August on Paramount+ in the United States and Canada. It follows the story a young American woman is sent by her parents to a cultural immersion program in Taipei where she begins a new journey of self-discovery and romance. “Love in Taipei” is directed by Arvin Chen and stars Ashley Liao, Ross Butler, Chelsea Zhang, and Nico Hiraga.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ashley Liao said the film’s ultimate theme is “follow your dreams no matter how scared you are, and if you’ve ever had a dream, you can have fun doing it.”

“Loveboat, Taipei” was published by HarperCollins and released on January 2020. It debuted at #9 on the New York Times Bestseller List. The sequel “Loveboat Reunion” was released in January 2022, while the third sequel “Loveboat Forever” is set to be released in November of 2023.
