In 2026, Ding Ding TV and community partners will proudly present the
4th and largest Silicon Valley Lunar New Year Together Celebration & Street Fair —
the only event that unites Asian communities across the Bay Area for one shared Lunar New Year festival in
Santa Clara.
Building on four years of successful celebrations with strong participation, cultural collaboration,
and wide media visibility, the 2026 festival will expand to an unprecedented scale,
showcasing unity, culture, and innovation in the heart of Silicon Valley.

🏮 2025 — Lunar New Year: San Jose
On Saturday, January 25th, 2025, Asian American Stories had a booth at
Lunar New Year: San Jose (LNY: SJ). Hundreds of flyers were distributed to attendees during this lively community event.
Established in 2023 by the Vietnamese American Roundtable and the
Union of Vietnamese Student Associations, Northern California,
this celebration highlights Asian-American youth leadership and collaboration.
The 2025 theme, “Bridging Generations”, symbolized uniting the wisdom of elders with the creativity of youth —
reminding everyone that traditions continue to thrive while evolving with modern energy and innovation.
🧧 2024 — Celebrate Lunar New Year Together at Ding Ding TV
On February 17th, 2024, more than 1,000 guests joined Ding Ding TV’s backyard celebration despite the stormy weather.
The event, titled “Celebrate Lunar New Year Together,” featured tents, heaters, and community spirit that kept everyone warm.
Over 25 elected officials attended, and 100 diverse artists performed.
Visitors enjoyed the Taste of Asian Food area with Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Indian, Nepali, and vegetarian cuisines.
Santa Clara Mayor Lisa Gillmor, San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan, and Sunnyvale Mayor Larry Klein
praised Ding Ding TV for fostering community unity and diversity.
The event also featured the Civic Leadership Forum Silicon Valley, moderated by Joel Wong,
discussing “Bring Communities Together to Stop the Hate.”
Panelists shared stories of belonging, identity, and leadership.
🎉 2023 — The Beginning of LNY: San Jose
Launched in 2023, Lunar New Year: San Jose was a joint initiative by the
Vietnamese American Roundtable and the
Union of Vietnamese Student Associations, Northern California.
This event marked the beginning of a new tradition — reimagining Lunar New Year through youth-led creativity,
cultural pride, and community collaboration in the heart of Silicon Valley.
