One balloon, two balloons, and now three, Are they threatening our "world peace"? Are they wayward Sino-meteo-zeppelins, Or sophisticated spying machines? Politicians from both aisles, Beside themselves with tales of beguile. Shoot them down, they all yell, Or the world's democracy would surely fail. The US mainstream media Continuous coverage 7 by 24 hours. Many experts were interviewed What are the Chinese really up to? Blinken canceled his diplomatic trip, Citing those are indeed spy ships. We won't fly across the planet, To talk to people who can't be trusted. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen Yelling at congress to raise the debt ceiling. Our national debt is defaulting, Not-to-worry, it is just 31.4 trillions! Our congress members are getting in positions, Jockeying, posturing for next year's elections. All domestic problems are relatively minor Compared to this major "Balloon Saga". Has our country gone bananas Making mountains out of molehills? Must we shoot first and ask questions later? Our democracy mustn't be threatened in this manner?
