2021 Cupertino Bridge Award Recipients Announced

CUPERTINO, CA – As a global economic center, Silicon Valley is both vital and diverse. Successful collaboration and understanding among businesses and people from around the world have become essential for communities and businesses to thrive.

 

Each year, the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce Bridge Award recognizes those individuals and organizations that have helped build trust, respect, and dialogue within Cupertino’s multi-ethnic and multi-cultural business community.

 

The 2021 Bridge Award for Individual Service recognizes Angela Chen. Angela has served Cupertino and the broader Silicon Valley Community for over 30 years with dedication to various public positions and volunteer activities. For many years, she has been an active member of the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Chamber’s Asian American Business Council. Angela embodies the Bridge Awards’ highest values with her many other activities, including as Board Member of the Cupertino-Hsinchu Sister City Association, City of Cupertino Audit Committee Member, Cupertino Sanitary District Board Member, and Member of the De Anza Commission. By her extraordinary example, Angela helped build trust, respect, and dialogue within our multi-ethnic and multi-cultural community.

 

The 2021 Bridge Award for Outstanding Business of the Year recognizes KeyPoint Credit Union. Inspired by Silicon Valley innovation and built to serve a diverse membership, KeyPoint is a full-service, not-for-profit credit union providing financial solutions to help its members achieve their goals in life. Beyond providing financial services, they actively invest in the communities they serve. Throughout 2020, KeyPoint staff was active in volunteering to help Cupertino businesses and individuals hit hard by the pandemic. In addition to many hours creating new programs specifically to support small business owners in Cupertino, KeyPoint Credit Union also continues to support the Alzheimers Association, 2nd Harvest Food Bank, Toys for Tots, Habitat for Humanity, the Santa Clara Library, and various financial literacy education programs for teens and adults.
