Bring Joy with Music by Etta Sou

My name is Etta Sou, I am 15 years old.

The pandemic is a dangerous and terrifying time for everyone, especially elders in senior centers. Not only are the elderly more at risk of contracting the virus, but they are also lonely. Due to social distancing regulations, their family members cannot visit them. I regularly volunteer as a performer, and I feel blessed to have these opportunities to bring joy and love through my music. Since I cannot physically perform for the elderly, I decided to put together a video performance with a few of my close friends, who are all talented singers. It took many long hours of hard work, but we created a product that we are proud of.

We hope that our acapella rendition of “Over the Rainbow,” a song reminiscent of better times, will bring comfort and lift the spirits of the elderly.
