Hindu Americans for Biden to Host The Dharma of Voting: Hindu American Representation in the Political Sphere

On Saturday, September 19, Hindu Americans for Biden will host The Dharma of Voting: Hindu American Representation in the Political Sphere, an event dedicated to understanding and maximizing Hindu representation, while stressing the importance of the Hindu American vote this upcoming election. As Hindu American’s become increasingly more politically active, this event will help understand the community’s cultural, racial, and socioeconomic diversity that has led to its rise.

Additionally, the event will demonstrate Joe Biden’s commitment to bringing Hindu Americans to the table for issues that impact the community. Vice President Biden has already received the endorsements of several high-profile Hindu leaders, but continues to engage with the community to learn more about their concerns and to help elevate their representation.

The event also will feature remarks to highlight the diversity of a potential Biden administration and the decisive role of the Hindu American electorate in key states. The panel will include Former Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Global Markets Arun Kumar, Former Asst. Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Nisha Biswal, Former WH Director of Innovation & Entrepreneurship Nishit Acharya, Executive Director, South Queens Women’s March Aminta Kilawan, Former Vice Mayor of Fremont, CA Anu Natarajan, Hindu Americans for Biden Co-Chair Murali Balaji, Biden for President National AAPI Director Amit Jani, and Biden for President National Faith Engagement Director  Josh Dickson.

The Dharma of Voting will be immediately followed by a phone banking session into Texas to contact South Asian voters.
