May the United Force Be with You By Gina Li

May the United Force Be with You

Tri-Valley Chinese American Community (TCAC) is a grass root organization that formed in March 18th 2020, aiming to help the frontline workers in hospitals, nursing homes, police departments, emergency services, as well as the most vulnerable seniors to fight again COVID-19 at the most critical point of time.

The core team of 11 ladies put their minds into actions for both PPEs donation and the fund raising.  As of April 26th 2020, $14,736.41 had been raised for PPE purchase.   Within 40 days, 43,795 pieces of PPEs, a combination of donated and purchased, had been donated to 26 hospitals, 24 nursing homes, and 29 essential businesses, out of which, about 1/3 places had confirmed COVID-19 cases.

It is a great demonstration of a little spark could become a united force of Chinese American to fight against COVID-19!
