Here is short summary of AAGG last event of 2018.

AAGG has concluded its 2018 with a successful event for Congressman Ted Lieu. The event was held on 12/31/2018 at Zest Food restaurant in Cupertino. 84 supporters from Silicon Valley attended this fundraising event. AAGG Governing board members Ken Fong, CC Yin, Sandy Chau and Don Sun hsoted the event. At the event, Congressman Ted Lieu shared his vision for the Chinese community. He encouraged all of us to become more engaged in the political process. Organizations without political experience before has shown interests and enthusiasm toward this type of events. Corporation such as Weimin Angel Investment firm, nonprofit organizations such as UCA, AABC and APAPA have sent representatives to attended this event. Congressman Ted Lieu initially thought that he would visit Silicon Valley for a New Year’s party. He did not expect to meet so many leaders, volunteers, and supporter from Silicon Valley. He was surprised to receive donations generous donations at the event. Congressman Ted Lieu discussed with the audience obout Chinese espionage cases and cybersecurity issues. The audience enjoyed his presentation and members in the audience had actively participated in Q&A sessions. Ted Lieu will a member of House Leadership and was elected by his colleagues to serve as Co-Chair of the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee.
